Crippling injuries, amputations and fatalities are an all-too-common result of unguarded or improperly guarded machines. OSHA requires machine parts, processes or functions that can cause these devastating injuries to your employees MUST be eliminated or controlled.
OSHA has begun to cite violations of these regulations as “willful violations” stating that companies knew of the regulations and did not comply, thereby demonstrating indifference with their OSH Act obligations.
These willful violations have resulted in six and seven figure initial fines plus potential criminal prosecution.
